In My Dream World: Update

In my dream world...... I hope to graduate from UMass with a minor in Linguistics. I want to go to grad school in Boston and live in a shitty apartment with my friends and work at a hospital. I would have have my Masters in Audiology, living in either North Carolina or MA, no further than an hour away from my friends & family. I want to live in a house that has some cool architecture to it. I want to have 1-3 kids by the time i am 35. I want to have visited Colorado, Oregon, Amsterdam, Germany, London. I want at least one cat. I want to have weekly nights when i hang out and drink wine & beer with my friends. I want to eat dinner with my parents once a week. I want to be close to my sister, and hope our kids are best friends. I'd love to have a Range Rover or a Subaru. I feel like I'll be an SUV mom.

The Power of Rupi Kaur

Image
Rupi Kaur is a women who has put together a collection of poetry that she has written about the good, the bad, the love, and the hate in her life. Her poetry is triggering but it is strong and makes you feel normal, like you are not alone in what you are feeling, what you are dealing with.  "milk and honey" is a little black book, that has made me cry and bring back some tough memories. But I think, again, that it is important to understand that you will never be able to forget to it is useful to learn how to cope in a healthy way.

Fashion Wish List

Image
I thought it would be fun to put together a list of clothing that I enjoy, and clothing that I would wear. also some clothes that I've had my eyes on for awhile.... I really love layering my clothes, and showing a little cleavage every once in a while. I find that neutral tones are easiest to mix & match.  Ideas:  A simple tank top dress, with sneakers (the new balance ones would work). maybe a baseball hat or a pair of big sunglasses. (Jean jacket optional) The cross front shirt, with black distressed jeans, with the denim jacket, sneakers. black cross body purse. Dainty necklace.  Adidas tee with dolphin shorts/destructed blue jeans, tucked in at the front. Strappy brown sandals, hair in bun. Sunglasses. (cross body bag optional) Little yellow tank top, high rise blue denim shorts, sneakers, baseball hat. (baggy sweater optional) Low-cut surplice top, high waisted black jeans, black sandals, dainty necklace, hair in bun. Intense cheek highlight. Gree

What Not to Bring: Dorm Living

Tons of Decor Pillows : They may look cute when on your bed, but at night time they can sort of take over your room and take up a lot of room in your car All-Season clothing : if you live close enough to come you'll be able to get your winter clothes High Heels: when you go to college parties most girls wear sandals and sneakers, it's much more comfortable, and the floors at parties are generally pretty gross, also it's never really that warm at night so walking to parties in heels and short skirts/dresses isn't the best option Figurines: they take up a ton of space on your desk, maybe a one or two is fine, but table space is limited in college More than 10 pairs of shoes : i find that in college i wear the same shoes all the time.  I like having two pairs of converse, one pair of vans, one pair on sandals (maybe two), one pair of flats, my bean boots, running sneakers, crocs, moccasins  Microwave: Your dorm will most likely have a kitchen inside of it with

Junior Year House

For my junior year of college, myself and five other friends have decided to rent a house out in Amherst. It's a split level, with five bedrooms, and two bathrooms. It is fairly nice, but definitely needs some work done to it. Here's where the shit started, when we talked to her about the lease she wrote it down on a scrap piece of paper, never did any research, didn't put any thought into it. We brought it to student legal services to make sure that we wouldn't get screwed over. We have the worst landlord though, our lease started June 1st (we don't plan on moving in until the end of August) but she hasn't moved out of the house but I'm still paying rent.....? Which I think is complete bullshit. Also, she told us the house would be done being painted by the time our lease started, as of Monday, no progress. I also emailed her and asked if she wouldn't mind having the house cleaned before we move in and if she could fix the front lock...."Before Aug

Fit Tea First Impression

Image
I started the detox on Monday. I bought the 14-day detox, I read tons of reviews and was under the impression that it was a loose tea, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and it was in see-through nylon tea bags. I make my tea at work, so I put the tea water in the microwave for 1 minute and 45 seconds, I'm not sure if that's the "wrong" way to make tea but. Anyway, the tea is weird, it is powdery... which really bothers me. The tea itself doesn't taste bad (every day it tastes a little better), no flavor overpowers another, it's a pretty mild which I am a fan of (mostly because I like fruity teas more). They recommend adding honey, but I don't like honey so I haven't. It's been about four days and I do think that it has helped with my bloating. I do not pee or anything else any more than I usually do either. Day 1: I drank the tea around 9:00 am and wow it went right through me. I'm not sure if it's because my body
