How I'm a Morning Person

I am 21 years old.
I am an Undergrad at UMass Amherst.
Sometimes I only get 5 hours of sleep.
But I have always been a morning person, even when I had to wake up at 6:06 am for high school.
Or now,
when I need to wake up at 7:00 am (when I don't need to shower) to catch the 7:58 am bus to campus for my 8:30 am class.
I do not drink coffee, nor do I ever put caffeine into my body, this has never been intentional it has just worked out that way.

Here are some of my tips.....

⇢Go to the Bathroom First: When I wake up I think it is extremely helpful to go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, and then wash my face. The minty refreshing feel and scent of toothpaste, the water on your face, and your favorite toner is a great way to make you feel clean and prepared for the day. Washing your face is a great way to make yourself feel awake in the morning.

⇢Give yourself enough time: This way you won't need to rush out of bed in the morning. You can take your time and you don't need to rush yourself.

⇢Turn the Snooze option off: I hate the snooze button, I have never used it. I think it is extremely important to start a habit of getting out of bed the first time your alarm goes off. Setting multiple alarms won't make it any easier to wake up. It just wastes more time and leads to stressful mornings.
I have a friend who sets 6 alarms in the morning, and it doesn't allow for quality sleep and it doesn't make your mornings any easier.

⇢Know Your Plan: I set an alarm to wake up and then an alarm for 15 minutes before my bus comes so I know to finish up, put my shoes on, and leave. I also like to brainstorm my outfit and look at the weather the night before so I'm not totally caught off guard in the morning. Less reason to rush.
